I would say the things we try to keep track of most occur in OU’s three sister cities: Rochester, Auburn Hills and Pontiac. We occasionally step out of that zone to cover huge news (like when Kilpatrick was convicted), but this is a rarity.
This beat is great because you get to cover City Council meetings which is great practice for when you get out into the industry. Pay special attention to anything that could potentially affect OU.
